Remaining competitive
Lime Bird is not just an ordinary recruitment agency. As well as having chefs and staff from a variety of backgrounds, we support individuals that have been incarcerated and are looking for a career in hospitality.

We have a different aim compared to our competitors. We measure our success by the jobs we fill, the lifestyle we're able to help provide and the paths we're able to influence, rather than our financial profits; ultimately leading to much lower profit margins.
Due diligence
Lime Bird Recruitment's due diligence is held to a higher standard than most of our competitors. Not only do we ask any new staff to work a trial shift before progressing onto our books, we also check their qualifications and have our own in house testing program that they must pass.
Social responsibility
We believe that businesses across the UK have a social responsibility to make a positive impact on society. This is why we put our money where our mouth is. We take on candidates & students that may be serving or ex-offenders, we actively employ and empower women that have been victims of domestic violence and we promote employing people from local communities. Our profits help to fund individuals by giving them the knowledge, skills and qualifications to prosper in their hospitality career.

Why we do what we do
All of our candidates show a desire to work, and their attendance will always be exemplary.

Around 20% of prisoners released re offend within the first year. There are 3 key factors that distinctly stop re offending:
Family ties
Sustainable housing
Employment

We tackle these 3 key factors!

We make sure that the candidate is places within their families catchment area, the candidate then uses their salary to support their family in the real world. The candidate accumulates holiday pay that can be used for a deposit to rent a property upon their release or a car with insurance. Finally we secure the candidate a full time / freelance position within our organisation.

Overall this releases all of the burden released offenders have on charities or for the lucky ones 'cash strapped' family members.

To highlight this further, if an offender leaves a prison without the 2 key factors addressed they are 92% more likely to re offend, of which an average £39,000 of tax payers money is used to fund Her Majesty's Prison Service.

It is most unfortunate that 86% of offenders fail to find employment withtin the first year of release.
